The Embassy of Sweden, Section Office in Juba announces a vacant position as a Logistics and administrative Officer. The Swedish engagement in South Sudan will increase during the coming years in line with the Strategy for Sweden’s development cooperation with South Sudan 2018-2022. To enable this expansion the office needs an administrative and logistics officer to enable increasing travels by Swedish and national staff as well as increased administrative tasks in the office.
The Swedish Section Office in Juba has a relatively small team but is linked to the Embassy of Sweden in Khartoum as well as to the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) in Stockholm. The Section Office in Juba needs an administrative and logistics officer who is highly flexible, adaptable and able to build and maintain good and effective relationships with many different colleagues and actors.
Main duties include;
• Logistical planning and coordination of the Swedish staff visiting and working in South Sudan
• Logistical planning for local transport in Juba
• Coordination of field visits - in collaboration with the designated security officer
• Administration regarding travel permits, visa, and residence of sent out staff
• Customs clearance of goods for the Section Office and its diplomatic staff
• Administration within the office, including internal and external communication
• Participate in selected meetings for note-taking - on request by Head of Office or Sida program managers
• Assisting and supporting the administrative assistant in standard correspondence, including diplomatic notes and provide backup in cash management.

The following requirements must be fulfilled by the candidate;
• University degree, minimum BA in the relevant field of study.
• 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar post, preferably with Embassy, UN or INGO.
• Good knowledge of state institutions, Diplomatic Missions, and NGOs in South Sudan.
• Fluent language skills in English (oral and written).
• Service-minded, flexible and proactive with a professional attitude.
• Excellent computer and social media skills.
• Legal residence and work permit in South Sudan.
